If you have been traveling north on the Blue Ridge Parkway from Cherokee, North Carolina, you haven’t seen much in the way of decent overlooks other than perhaps at Waterrock Knob and Cowee Mountain a few miles earlier. The Caney Fork Overlook offers you another opportunity for a worthwhile stop even though the view suffers from a few ill-placed tall trees. For photographs, you can either walk the length of the parking lot and take photos of the difference views between the trees, or just make a nice panorama, trees and all.
