Mount Pisgah was a popular tourist destination long before the Blue Ridge Parkway came into being. The first Pisgah Inn was built in 1919 and stood standing until being torn down in 1990. The current inn was built in 1964, about the same time that Parkway construction through this area finished. Rooms have been remodeled over the years to include modern amenities and new furniture. All rooms have a view of the surrounding mountains. Enter from the back side (parking lot area) and sit on your private balcony on the front side of the building.
A restaurant is on the premises and is open to everyone, not just those staying at the Pisgah Inn. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is served daily. There is also a banquet room that can hold up to 70 people, as well as a gift store, a laundromat, and a camp store where those camping at the Mount Pisgah Campground across the street can buy camping supplies. Visitors who are not staying at the inn can take in the view from an overlook area at the front side of the restaurant. Adirondack-style chairs are available.
The Inn is typically open from April 1st through October 31st. For more information visit the Pisgah Inn website.
