This .5-mile loop trail is one of two trails that depart from next to the James River Visitor Center building. This is a standard nature trail with signs describing the trees in the area.
Also located next to the James River Visitor Center, this .4-mile round trip trail takes hikers to the Battery Creek Lock that once was part of the defunct James River and Kanawah Canal.
This 1.1-mile loop trail takes hikers around Otter Lake. It is easy to moderate in difficulty, though there are a few short, strenuous climbs.
