Craggy Gardens Trail

This .8-mile one-way trail runs from the Craggy Gardens Visitor Center to the Craggy Gardens Picnic Area. The trail is easy to moderate in difficulty.

Douglas Falls Trail

This 8-mile round trip hike branches off from the Mountains to Sea Trail about 1 mile from either the Greybeard Mountain View pullout or the Craggy Gardens Visitor Center. At the end of the trail is the 70-foot high Douglas Creek Falls. This trail is rated as Strenuous.

Craggy Pinnacle Trail

This trail departs from the Craggy Dome View parking area. Plan to spend 30-60 minutes on this easy to moderate 1-mile round trip hike. The trail leads to the top of Craggy Pinnacle where you have a 360° view.

Mountains to Sea Trail

This is a 1,150-mile trail that stretches from Great Smoky Mountains National Park to the North Carolina Outer Banks. It is not part of the National Park system, so I do not hike it, but you can get more information on the Friends of the Mountains to Sea Trail website.

Snowball Mountain Trail

This 8-mile round trip trail branches off the Mountains to Sea Trail after a short walk from near the entrance to the Craggy Gardens Picnic Area. This is rated as Moderate to Strenuous in difficulty.
