Trails: Appalachian Trail
Picnic Tables: 1 (no grill)
The vista at the 3 Ridges Mountain overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway is broken into tiny windows by random trees that get in the way. As long as you are willing to move around the parking lot from spot to spot, you can get some nice photos, especially if you take advantage of the obstructions. The overlook was nearly overgrown when I visited in 2020, but most of the brush was gone when I stopped by in August 2024. I wish the few trees that block the view had been cut as well.
The 3 Ridges Mountain stop has a picnic table, and it is also a parking area for the Appalachian Trail. The trailhead on the south end of the parking lot sets you off hiking southbound. The northbound trailhead is on the opposite side of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
