There are four urban trails that follow the canals within Lowell National Historical Park. Information panels line the routes, so these hikes are a great way to see the city, get some exercise, and learn about the history of Lowell, the Birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.
A map of the trails is available in the Visitor Center—ask for the Lowell Waterways brochure. You can also get a detailed map of the immediate Visitor Center area on the regular park brochure.
