All maintained hiking trails at the Bowmans Island unit of Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area are on the west side of the river. Trails consist of a double loop (“figure 8”) at the northern end and a single loop at the southern end. Trails running along the river and near the homes and streets of the Chattahoochee River Club subdivision connect the northern and southern ends of the park, so it is possible to make a loop hike of the entire park unit.

West Side Loop Hike (4.5 mile loop that covers the entire west side of Bowmans Island—most recommended)

Northern Upper and Lower Loop Trails Hike (2.5 miles)

Southern Loop Trail Hike (1.25 mile)
